Barbara L. Reichard, 77, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family July 5, 2026. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Reichard, who died Feb. 8, 2021. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Marion J. (Shive) Hixson.

She graduated from Emmaus High School and was a member of the 1967 “Lunch Bunch.” She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.

She was a dedicated customer service representative at PPL for many years until retiring.

She enjoyed crocheting, basket weaving and doll making and truly enjoyed her retirement years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue; brothers, Keith A. Hixson and Charles R. Hixson; sister, Lois A. Stein (Fred); grandchild; TobyAllen.

Services will be held 1 p.m. July 20 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. A viewing will be held noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
