Althea G. (Rabert) Blose, 95, of Allentown, died June 21, at Heather Glen Senior Living, Upper Macungie Township. She was the wife of the late Oliver R. “Ollie,” who died in 2022. They were married 71 years.
Born in Ormrod, Feb. 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Willard W. and Grace E. (Mertz) Rabert. She was employed as an assistant deputy register of wills and clerk in the Recorder of Deeds Office at the County of Lehigh for 15 years before retiring in 1992. Before that, she worked for the former Solmar Surgical Supply Company in Allentown as a billing clerk.
She was a member of U.C.C. Greenawalds, and T.P.A. Post L — Lehigh Valley. She was a volunteer at Phoebe Home and Luther Crest for over 20 years. She and her late husband, Ollie, enjoyed playing card games with a host of friends.
She is survived by a son, Randy A. and his wife, Debbie of Coplay; grandchildren Evan A. (Pam Piovesan), Jillian N. Nichols (Geno Grantham); and great-grandchildren Oliver and Rhys Nichols; She is predeceased by a brother, Curtis C. Rabert.
Funeral services were held June 26, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville with the Rev. Janet L. Newett officiating. Interment followed at Friedens Church Cemetery, Slatington. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
