The Wanderers split their last two contests, following a dominant offensive performance with their first loss of the season.
After erupting for an 18-7 victory over Northampton on June 19, the Wanderers were shut out 7-0 by Northampton last week. The win over Northampton continued an impressive stretch that included an 11-run victory over Nazareth, a 10-1 win over East Stroudsburg, a 25-2 rout of the Knights and shutout victories against Birches and Roseto.
Despite the setback, the Wanderers remain one of the league’s top teams. Through nine games, they own a 7-1-1 record and have outscored opponents 94-30, giving them an impressive plus-64 run differential.
Hellertown sits atop the standings with them, carrying a 7-1-1 record as well.
The Wanderers will look to bounce back in their final regular season game on July 1 against Hellertown, as the NORCO playoffs begin on July 5.
