Students’ artwork on display at Sheckler Elementary School

On May 13, Sheckler Elementary School, 251 N. 14th St., Catasauqua, hosted an event to display students’ artwork from the academic year.

The school’s first floor, shaped like a horseshoe, created a path, starting at the front office and working around to display work by kindergartners to fourth-graders. Parents/guardians were invited to enjoy the display by their children.

The event also hosted a rhythm scavenger hunt for students and family members to search for music note posters hung throughout the artwork, which could be completed in exchange for a prize.

In addition to elementary students’ artwork, some pieces by Catasauqua Middle School and Catasauqua High School students were also featured at the art walk.

The event also included musical performances from students under the direction of Rob Arnold and John Leiderman and the third-grade recorder concert.

Artwork by second-grade students is on display during Sheckler Elementary School’s art walk, held May 13 at the school, 251 N. 14th St., Catasauqua.
