EHS boys tennis went 17-3 in 2026

The Emmaus High School boys tennis team won a majority of its matches during the 2026 season, with the only defeats coming against the two teams that played in the district championship match.

The Hornets finished the year 17-3 overall and were third in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference behind Parkland and Liberty.

Emmaus defeated Stroudsburg 3-0 in the District 11 quarterfinal round, but fell to the Hurricanes 3-2 in the semifinals. The main individual highlight was Chris Stone, who went 17-0 on the season and won silver at district singles. He was an All-EPC First Team selection for singles.

“Our team had a great season this year,” said Hornet head coach Robert Dragotta. “We graduated six seniors from last year, so we knew coming into this season we need a lot of players to take on leadership roles, and they did. The boys stepped up and improved all season. Our captains were Cole Stuchko and Chris Stone, and they led this year’s team. The players all bonded together and had a fun season.”

Krishna Nemani and Aba Diop were 16-2 at fourth doubles and won a bronze medal at the EPC tournament. Sai Uppiretta and Joe Brisgone were 14-4 at third doubles. Ben Brooks and Adam Waddell were 13-5 at second doubles and won a bronze medal at EPC’s, defeating two of the teams they lost to during the season. They were named to the All-EPC Second Team. Cole Stuchko was in the No. 3 spot in the singles lineup. He was 17-1 and defeated the third singles from

Liberty in the District team semifinals to avenge his only loss. He won a bronze medal at EPCs. Caleb Brown played No. 2 singles and was 12-6. Him and Stone played in the semifinals of District Doubles and lost 7-5, 6-3, 7-5 to Nazareth.

The Hornets will graduate three seniors including Diop, Stuchko and Brisgone.

“Those three guys were our leaders,” Dragotta said. “They will be missed. They did a lot for our program and made sure everyone did things the right way.”

Khoi Nguyen, Zayan Siddiqui, James Moyer, Keleb Michaud, Caleb Yu, Jackson Iyengar and Tyler Iyengar were also on the team and will be returning next season.
