LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Crowd turns out for Lower Macungie Summer Concert Series

Lower Macungie Township’s Summer Concert Series continued Saturday, June 13, with Elijah Smith and Los Padres Band performing at the bandshell at Hills at Lockridge off Scenic View Drive.

Favorable weather helped draw a large crowd for the show, which featured a mix of country rock classics and original songs. Singer-songwriter Elijah Smith, often joined by a rotating group of local musicians from the Lehigh Valley, performed alongside the band. Their set included acoustic, country, folk and classic rock influences, with covers such as “Werewolves of London.”

Audience members relaxed on the lawn and in chairs, enjoying the music and weather.

At the end of the performance, the crowd called for an encore. Smith, joking with attendees, told them the band would “perform two more songs and then the encore.”

Residents are encouraged to check the Lower Macungie Township website for the full summer lineup. Guests should bring chairs or blankets, as no additional seating is provided. The venue offers a large grassy area for families and groups.

The next concert is scheduled for June 26 at 6:30 p.m., featuring The Large Flowerheads.
