Roger B. Trexler
Roger B. Trexler, 86, of Emmaus, died at home June 9, 2026. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederic P. and Dorothy M. (Rothrock) Trexler, of Emmaus. He lived his whole life in Emmaus and Allentown — with the exception of a brief stint in Houston, Texas, after college.
He was a 1958 graduate of Emmaus High School, where he was the varsity quarterback, played basketball, baseball and golf, ran track and was president of the wrestling club.
He was a 1962 graduate of Susquehanna University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He was the quarterback of the football team, played basketball, tennis and intramural sports.
He worked for General Acceptance Corp. in Houston, Texas, for three years after college. He also worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years.
He was especially passionate about football. He was a Penn State fan and the Eagles and Phillies were his teams. He coached youth football and stayed in touch with a lot of his players.
His is survived by nieces, Kristin J. Crosley, of Arvada, Colo., Kim E. Crosley, of Castle Rock, Colo.; Randy Fick, of Emmaus, whom he thought of as a son; special family member, Theresa Unger; many cousins and lifelong friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Linda A. (Trexler) Baker and brother-in-law, Philip A. Baker, both of Venice, Fla.
A small Celebration of Life luncheon will take place in the upcoming months for close friends and family.
