’Canes grab win in summer hoops
Liberty remained in the thick of the Lehigh Valley Summer League playoff race with a 54-44 victory over East Stroudsburg North last Thursday. Elizah Marabel paced the Hurricanes with 15 points as Liberty improved to 4-3 on the season.
In the Small School Division, Catasauqua fell to Northwestern, 59-49. Despite the loss, the Rough Riders remained tied for fourth place in the standings with a 3-4 record alongside Salisbury and Warren Hills.
Freedom dropped a 66-47 contest to Emmaus. The Patriots fell to 1-6 on the season.
