Upper Macungie showing the movie ‘Monsters, Inc’

Upper Macungie Township’s Grub and Groove Food Truck Festival will take place every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. through Sept. 24 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

Come and enjoy various food trucks and musical offerings. Food trucks will meet by Pavilion No. 1 at Grange Park.

The township will be showing the 2001 movie ‘Monsters, Inc.’ from the creators of Toy Story. This timeless favorite for all ages will be showing June 12 at Ricky Park, 5875 Ricky Ridge Trail. Orefield.

Activities start around 5:30 p.m., and movies will start as soon as the sun goes down.

Mighty Kicks Youth Soccer will hold its summer session I on Wednesdays June 10-July 8 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.

Mighty Kicks is the Premier introductory soccer option for children ages 2-8.

This program is designed to build motor skills, life skills, self-confidence, and basic soccer techniques.

All classes will be held on one of the smaller fields past the pavilion.

Class times by age group are: 5-5:30 p.m. 2-year-olds, 5:40-6:20 p.m. 3-4-year-olds and 6:30-7:10 p.m. 5-8-year-olds.

The township is offering a one-time total body conditioning class for adults from 8-9 a.m. June 13 at the brand-new Upper Macungie Township Community Center, 360 Grange Road.

Total body conditioning is a fast-paced, full-body strength and cardio class designed to improve everyday movement, muscular endurance, and core stability. It is modifiable for all fitness levels.

The township is offering a one-time boot camp class for adults from 2-2:45 p.m. on June 13 at the Upper Macungie Township Community Center.

Donna Barats will be offering a six-week outdoor Zumba Summer Session on Mondays from 6-7 p.m. June 15-July 6 at Lone Lane Pavilion parking lot.

This program will improve cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility, all while making friends and having a blast.

The township in partnership with MVP360 is hosting a Nike MLB RBI Baseball and Softball Clinic for ages 8-14 from 4-6 p.m. June 27 at Grange Park Baseball Field.

This free clinic, led by experienced coaches, is an engaging, skill-focused program that helps young athletes sharpen their game while developing confidence, teamwork and essential life skills in a positive, supportive setting.

It will emphasize core fundamentals like throwing, catching, hitting, base running, fielding, pitching (where appropriate) and game strategy — customized for beginners through more advanced players.

Summer camp registration is open for Upper Macungie residents.

The UMT Summer Camp is an 8-week program running Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 through Aug 7.

The traditional camp is for kids ages 6-12.

The Teen Takeover camp is for youth ages 13-15.

There will be no camp on June 19 and July 3.

Throughout the day, campers will rotate through a schedule of activities ranging from sports, team-building, crafts, scavenger hunts, trivia, science, etc.

Campers are responsible for packing their own lunch/snacks.

The UMT Summer Camp is offered at three different locations. Bused field trip registration will be an optional add-on offered exclusively to those already registered in the UMT Summer Camp. Limited seats are available and there is a cost for the camps.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, (Leather Corner Post) will be holding its annual summer picnic 4-8 p.m. on June 27.

There will be live music 5-8 p.m. by Waitin’ on Sundown.

The church will also have a basket raffle, 50/50 drawing, cake walk and a bake sale.

The rain date will be 2-6 p.m. June 28 with the band playing 3-6 p.m.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be holding Family Game Night 6-8:30 p.m. June 17 in the Fellowship Hall.

Bring along your favorite board game or card game to play and join them for some fun with friends and family.

Light refreshments will be served.

Ziegels’ Rain forest Falls Vacation Bible School for youth in kindergarten to sixth grade will take place 6-8:30 p.m. June 22-26.

Through fun music, crafts, games, stories and snacks, they will explore what it means to be rooted in a relationship with God.

Parents can register their children by filling out a form at Ziegels church during office hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The church will be holding its Tractor and Car show, a free community event, 12-6 p.m. July 11.

Entertainment will be by The Hannah Violet Trio and The Majestics.

There will be food, games, raffles, bake sale, tractor pulls and fun for all ages.
