Paws in the Park draws pet lovers to Upper Macungie Twp

The sixth annual Paws in the Park festival brought pet lovers, vendors, and community organizations together May 31 at Grange Park, Upper Macungie Township.

Rich Johnson welcomed attendees and thanked the event’s sponsors and partners, including the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, Upper Macungie Township, Purina, Freshpet, Heintzelman Funeral Home, CHARR, Amazon, Goldenberg Group, Scenthound, Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Hamilton Crossings, Luxe Events & Designs, and Signal of Eastern Pennsylvania.

The family-friendly event featured more than 50 pet-themed vendors along with food and beverage vendors.

Activities included a pet parade, best trick contest, treat-stacking competition for humans, and other pet-centered games and demonstrations.

Proceeds from the event benefited the Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley, which helps provide pet food assistance to families and animal rescue organizations throughout the region.
