Valley Carpenter Cup baseball team named
Bethlehem Catholic’s Aidan Brophy and Liberty’s Brayden Kashner have been selected to the Lehigh Valley Carpenter Cup team.
The Carpenter Cup, one of the premier high school baseball showcases in the Mid-Atlantic region, brings together top players from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware for a tournament that has featured numerous future collegiate and professional players throughout its history.
Brophy, an outfielder from Bethlehem Catholic and a member of the Class of 2027, earned a spot on the roster after helping lead the Golden Hawks during the spring season. The rising senior will have the opportunity to showcase his talents against some of the region’s top players while representing both Bethlehem Catholic and the Lehigh Valley.
Kashner, a versatile Liberty standout who plays pitcher, first base and catcher, was also selected to the team. A member of the Class of 2028, Kashner is among the younger players on the roster.
The two Bethlehem players will join a talented Lehigh Valley squad made up of athletes from throughout District 11 and the surrounding area. The roster features a mix of experienced seniors and promising underclassmen, giving the team both talent and depth as it competes against some of the top high school players in the region.
The Carpenter Cup provides participants with a unique opportunity to compete alongside players from rival schools while gaining valuable exposure to college recruiters and scouts.
The Lehigh Valley team opens up play on June 9 against Jersey Shore.
