CMS News: Congrats to CMS contest winners
Congratulations to the Catasauqua Middle School students who took part in and won awards during the 24 Math Challenge regional competition May 26 at Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21.
CMS winners included Misho Khouli, first place, and Zoe Swartwood, third place, in the fifth-grade division; Javien Santana, third place, and Julian Jean Jacques, fourth place, in the sixth-grade division; and Luke Buffinton, second place, in the seventh-/eighth-grade division.
The students represented Catasauqua Area School District with outstanding problem-solving skills and determination, and they should be commended for their hard work and achievements!

The talent show for seventh- and eighth-grade students is planned for 8:45-10:15 a.m. June 4, and the performance for fifth- and sixth-grade students will be 8:45-10:15 a.m. June 8.

There will be early dismissals for the end of the year. CMS students will be dismissed 11 a.m. June 5-10.
No lunches will be served, but there will be breakfast.

The eighth-grade promotion ceremony will be 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 10. The event is limited to parents/guardians due to limited seating.
There will be a practice for students 8:30 a.m. June 9.

Summer school for students will be 8-10 a.m. June 15-18 and June 22-25.

The school’s summer office hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting June 15.

There will be a summer camp — The STEAM Studio — for students entering grades 5-8. It will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 16 at Sheckler Elementary School.
Students will learn about the robot coding lab and explore problem-solving skills. Lunch will be served.
