Freddy Awards winners announced in WFMZ telecast of State Theatre ceremony

The 24th Freddy Awards Ceremony was presented at 7 p.m. May 21 at the State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, and telecast live on WFMZ Channel 69 and streamed on WFMZ+.

From Feb. 26 through April 26, students from 31 schools, a record number of participating high schools in Northampton and Lehigh counties and Warren County, N.J., presented spring musicals.

Here is list of winners of the 2026 Freddy Awards:

1. Outstanding Technical Design By A Smaller School: Wilson Area High School, “Anastasia The Musical”

2. Outstanding Technical Design: Freedom High School, “Something Rotten!”

3. Outstanding Use of Costumes: Bangor Area High School, “The Phantom of the Opera”

4. Outstanding Performance by a Male Ensemble Member: Carlo Igot as Doody, Nazareth Area High School, “Grease”

5. Outstanding Performance by a Female Ensemble Member: Tie: Ella Muckey as Young Anna, Allentown Central Catholic High School, “Disney’s Frozen”; Stella Georgalas as Charlotte, Liberty High School, “Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Broadway Version)”

5C. Air Products Education & Community Impact Award: Warren County Technical School, “Working (Localized Version)”

6. Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance: Olivia Betancourt, Julia Cagnassola, Natalie Trawin, “Little Lamb From Alabama,” Warren Hills Regional High School, “Big Fish: School Edition”

7. Outstanding Performance by an Orchestra: Easton Area High School, “Legally Blonde The Musical”

8. Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Fiona Flatt as Carlotta Giudicelli, Bangor Area High School, “The Phantom Of The Opera”

9. Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Daniel Thompson as Olaf, Phillipsburg High School, “Disney’s Frozen”
