Charles Resh

of Lowhill Township

Charles “Charlie” T. Resh, 78, of Lowhill Township, died peacefully May 23, 2026, in his home. He was the husband of Carol A. (White) Resh since 1972. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Thomas D. and Rose (Wonderly) Resh.

He was employed as a switchman for Verizon, Kuhnsville, for over 30 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of Morgenland United Church of Christ, Orefield, where he formerly served on church consistory. A 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, he was a member of Jordan-Martin Lodge F. and A.M., the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown and the Rajah Shrine, Reading.

He was a 1965 graduate of the former Whitehall-Coplay High School, then serving in the Navy, South Vietnam Campaign, achieving rank of ATR3. He was also a member the VFW Breinigsville Post and the American Legion, Topton Post.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Matthew E., of Richmond, Ill.; grandchildren, Calen, Keller, Kevin; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Capt. Mark T.; sisters, Mildred McKeeby and Marian Peifly; brothers, Daniel and David.

Services will be held 11 a.m. May 29 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067. Calling hour is 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home before the service.
