Thursday Movie Matinees begin June 11 at Emmaus Public Library

The Emmaus Farmers Market will appear weekly Sunday mornings beginning 10 a.m. in Triangle Park.

The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is also open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. A new display features classes ending in “6,” starting with 1916, to celebrate the Class of 2026! The society’s museum committee would appreciate any donations of pictures and related items of Emmaus’s Centennials, Jubilees and Anniversaries over the years. The Emmaus Historical Society will be holding a fundraiser noon until 9 p.m. with trivia, raffles and entertainment by Woodside Avenue. The fundraiser will be at Yergey’s Brewing, 235 Main St., May 30.

Also May 30, the borough of Emmaus invites all residents to take part in a yard sale event. No permits are necessary and the entire community is encouraged to participate. The rain date is set for May 31.

The summer concert series in the Emmaus Community Park, Shimersville Road, will kick off with Steel Creek 6-8 p.m. May 31.

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival will be featuring its Community Tour production of “As You Like It” at the Emmaus Public Library 6-7:30 p.m. June 5. The presentation will take place on the library lawn, so feel free to bring chairs and blankets.

The Emmaus Rotary Club will host its summer festival in the Emmaus Community Park June 6. Entry is free and the event will take place 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., complete with entertainment, beverages, food trucks, kid activities and arts and crafts.

June 11 begins Thursday Movie Matinees, 1-3 p.m., at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., with a screening of “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” For the full and complete listing of the eight matinee showings, please visit https://emmauspl.org/calendar.

On the evening of June 11, the Historic European Martial Arts group in Bethlehem will present a demonstration on the library lawn (weather permitting) 6 p.m. All ages are welcome and registration is not required.

The string band Golden Twine will be featured in “Tunes on the Triangle” 6:30 p.m. June 12.

On June 14, Little Green Shack will take the stage 6-8 p.m. for the next summer concert series at the Emmaus Community Park.

The Emmaus Public Library will feature a “Sit & Stretch” hour beginning 6 p.m. June 15. Retired RN Linda Thomas will lead the session of relaxed stretching while participants are either seated in a chair or standing and using a chair for support. Interested individuals shall register for the session and be prepared to experience a combination of physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

The Emmaus Historical Society will host its annual member picnic 5:30 p.m. June 17 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. Nonmembers are welcome to attend with a charge which will apply towards a 2026 membership. Interested folks should call the museum to RSVP and sign up to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert.

MeLVin of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will visit the Emmaus Public Library for a short story time 4 p.m. June 23. Later that evening, 6:30-7:30 p.m., author Lori Floyd will present stories from her series, “The Adventures of the Explorers’ Club in New York City.” Individuals should register online and the event is best suited for elementary age children.

The Emmaus Garden Club will be hosting a tour of eight unique gardens 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27. This event will be held rain or shine and there is a cost for tickets. Visit https://emmausgardenclub.com for a list of locations from where to purchase the tickets.

Also June 27, the Emmaus Historical Society in conjunction with The Media People, Inc., is pleased to announce the premier of “Emmaus Triangle History 1759-2025” at the Emmaus Theatre, 19 S. Fourth St. The documentary features a photo slideshow for all generations to enjoy!
