SCHOOL CLOSURE: All BASD schools will be closed May 19. Childcare and school offices will be open. Schools will be closed Memorial Day, May 26.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION:

BASD Seniors who have dedicated 200 plus

hours to community service across a wide range of organizations and causes. As part of the event, 20 students, 10 from each high school, were presented with mayoral proclamations in recognition of their diverse volunteer experiences and impact.

FALL SPORTS: BASD student-athletes and families, PIAA physical and registration forms for the 2026 fall sports season are now available online through Arbiter Registration. First official practice dates: Aug. 10, football, golf; Aug. 17 cheerleading, cross-country, field hockey, soccer, girls tennis, girls volleyball.

Important Reminder: All physicals should be completed in Arbiter Registration by the first week of August. Student-athletes must be approved by an athletic trainer before participating in any official practices or games.

BETHLEHEM CATHOLIC

MEMORIAL DAY: School closed May 25.

WASHINGTON DC TRIP: Recently, Mrs. Maigur and Mrs. Stofanak led a group of our students to Washington, D.C., to visit the U.S. Holocaust Museum and tour the U.S. Capitol. The group was also able to see the Supreme Court. It was a great day and a valuable educational experience for the students, some of whom have never been to the nation’s capital.
