Darlene A. Wertman, 83, of New Tripoli, died May 8, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was the daughter of the late Ida (Hartman) Wertman and the late Lester Wertman. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1961 and later received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bloomsburg State College.

She was a business education teacher at Northwestern Lehigh High School. She was a member and a former junior choir member of Ebenezer Church in New Tripoli. She was also a member of the New Tripoli and Lynnport fire companies.

She is survived by cousins.

She was predeceased by her companion, John Brenssinger.

There will be a private graveside funeral service held at Ebenezer Union Cemetery.
