Shirley Ann Cheverie Hale, 80, of Breiningsville, died May 4, 2026. Born in Dorchester, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Marion (Silva) Cheverie. She was the wife of Bruce Richard Hale for 51 years.
She worked for Hartford Supplemental Health Insurance in Fogelsville for 11 years as well as the Teamsters and was also a former hairdresser and salon owner. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, in Orefield, where she taught catechism for nine years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, making custom chocolates and loved the beach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Jeffrey Alan, Judson Benjamin, Bruce Richard II, and Eileen Patricia; grandchildren, Jonathan, Lilac, Madelyn, Kiai, J.T.; brothers, Joseph Cheverie and Frank Cheverie; sisters, Peg Cheverie Frazier, Donna Cheverie Fahey; many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place 6:30-8 p.m. May 7 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and 10:30-11 a.m. May 8 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m.
