Barbara A. (Peste) Stengel, 89, of Allentown, died April 22, 2026 at the Atrium of Allentown. She was the wife of the late James T. Stengel. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hilda (Decker) Peste. She owned and operated Stengel’s Beauty Salon in Allentown for many years. She loved to dance and even danced on Steel Pier in Atlantic City, N.J.

She is survived by a son, Michael W. and his wife, Vicki, of Allentown; grandchildren, Tanner (Carly Cummings), McKenna (Collin McCaughey).

She was predeceased by siblings, Joan Baker, Richard Peste.
