The Seed Farm to host annual plant starter sale May 9 and 10
The Seed Farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, hosts its 12th annual plant starter sale May 9 and 10.
Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 9 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10.
The sale is open to all.
Gardening enthusiasts will find varieties of herb, flower and vegetable starters, all grown using organic practices and non-GMO seed.

Mark your calendar for the fall plant sale Aug. 15 and 16.
While you have your calendar handy, also please pencil in the 80th annual Dillingersville Pilgrimage scheduled June 28.
The event features an outdoor church service 10:30 a.m. under a large tent on the grounds of the stone Dillingersville schoolhouse, 7226 School House Lane, Lower Milford Township.
A picnic lunch and a performance by the music duo Simple Gifts are among the day’s highlights. The music performance begins 12:30 p.m.
The event traditionally includes tours of the fieldstone structure, which is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and has served the area as a church and a school since its construction in the 19th century.
The Upper Milford Historical Society welcomes Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio 7 p.m. May 28 to the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St. Organizers recommend you “mind your squeamish side” as Buglio’s presentation will include camera footage taking viewers behind-the-scenes of police work.
The program is open to all.
Musicians Ken Purcell and Jack Laubach will present their program “An Evening of Irish Music” 7 p.m. May 13 at the Southern Lehigh Library, 3200 Preston Lane, Center Valley.
Doors open 6:30 p.m.
The event is part of the Friends of the Southern Lehigh Library Evening with Friends program series.
There is a cost. Seating is limited and registration is required. Registration may be done by phone or by visiting the circulation desk at the library.
Purcell and Laubach will present a program featuring ballads, pub songs and other music from the Irish tradition.
Readers of this column may be aware the Southern Leigh Library is the home library of Lower Milford Township residents. The Lower Milford Township board of supervisors will next meet 6:30 p.m. May 21 at the township building, 7607 Chestnut Hill Church Road.
