Macungie Pool Flea Market scheduled May 9

Grace Lutheran Church will offer its free community meal 5-6:30 p.m. May 8 in the fellowship hall. Take-out meals are also available. Call the church office at 610-966-3325 for the menu.

Grace Lutheran Church holds a free food distribution 2-4 p.m. May 13 and May 27, for East Penn School District residents. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.

The Macungie Pool Flea Market will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 at Macungie Pool in Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St. There will also be bounce houses and a petting zoo. Applications for vendor spaces can be found on Macungie Pool “The Fun Pool” Facebook page.

Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon May 7 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall at Macungie Memorial Park. The next meeting is scheduled noon June 4. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Dot at 610-967-3284.

There will be a Cruise Night 2 p.m. May 16 at Macungie Memorial Park. Vehicles will start arriving at 2 p.m. and the music begins 4 p.m. Refreshments are available. For more information, call 610-966-4289.

The Alburtis Seniors will meet noon May 20 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis. There will be a potluck buffet lunch followed by a meeting and bingo. There is a small charge. Bring a covered dish. For more information, call Doris at 610-966-3653.

The Macungie Farmers Market will open for the season 4-7 p.m. May 21 on Lumber Street, just off Main Street, Macungie. They are looking for vendors/artisans/crafters for the 2026 season. Applications are available at www.macungiefarmersmarket.com. Select “Our Vendors” in the menu and scroll down to find the header “Want to be a vendor at the Macungie Farmers Market?”

Macungie Pool memberships are being accepted. The pool will open for the 2026 season May 23. Swim lessons will be offered. More information is available through the Macungie Park website.

There will be a Spring Revolution car show presented by Whips and Sips 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23 at Macungie Memorial Park. There will be in-show competitions, entertainment, food, vendors and raffles. Proceeds will benefit Animal House Project.

Macungie Memorial VFW Post 9264 will present Macungie Memorial Day Observance on May 25. There will be a flag raising at the Veteran’s Memorial in Macungie Memorial Park 10 a.m., immediately followed by the Memorial Day Program at the bandshell 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held noon at the Macungie Veterans Association, 287 Lehigh St. In the event of rain, services will be held in the Macungie Memorial Park auditorium 10:30 a.m. For weather updates, phone or text 610-965-0372.

Macungie Ambulance with the American Heart Association will hold the largest CPR event for the most hands on CPR on one day 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 6 at Macungie Memorial Park. Registration will begin 9 a.m. There will be food trucks, vendors and more.

There will be a Pennsylvania Earth Sciences Spring Mineralfest 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 6 at Macungie Memorial Park. Admission is free. For more information call 610-966-4289.

There will be a Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo Fundraiser Cash Bingo 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7 at Macungie Memorial Park. Doors open 10 a.m.; games start noon. There will also be food and beverages and a basket raffle.

There will be a Spring into Summer Festival 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7 at Macungie Memorial Park.

There will be a GM on Display Car Show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 7 for General Motors cars and trucks at Macungie Memorial Park. There will be food and music.

New members are welcome to join the Macungie Town Beautification Committee.

The committee meets 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Macungie Institute.

Macungie Borough Council has in-person public meetings at the Macungie Institute. The next meetings will be 7:30 p.m. May 18 and June 1.

The Macungie Park Board of Directors meetings are 7 p.m. May 12 and June 9 in the downstairs of Macungie Memorial Hall.
