Betty Marie (Kinsey) Deardorff, 92, died April 16, 2026, in Nazareth. She was wife of the late Floyd Calvin Deardorff.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mabel Ann (Shaub) Kinsey.

She graduated from Dover High School in 1951. She went on to earn her nursing degree from York Hospital School of Nursing in 1954.

She worked alongside her husband in the operation of Axelrod Pharmacy in Flemington, N.J.

She was a devoted member of several congregations over the years, including Calvary Lutheran Church and Dover Church of the Brethren in Dover, Grace Lutheran Church in Trenton, Flemington Presbyterian Church in Flemington and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nazareth.

She gave back to her community through volunteer work, including at a church-run shelter for battered women in Flemington.

She is survived by three children, Linda Jean Deardorff Cunningham, Karen Ann Deardorff Dowbnia with Albert Robert Dowbnia and John Floyd Deardorff with Robin Yerich Deardorff; four grandchildren, Kristine Lynn Cunningham Klovach with Bradley Klovach, Kelly Ann Cunningham Herrera with Ruben Herrera, Alex Gregory Dowbnia and Adam John Dowbnia; great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Ann Kinsey.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Robert Charles Cunningham; and two brothers, Harold Lewis Melendon Kinsey and Robert John Kinsey.

There will be a calling time 11 a.m.-noon, followed by funeral services noon, May 14 at the funeral home, 211 E. Center St., Nazareth, 18064.
