Upper Macungie Twp calling all youth fishermen

Upper Macungie Township will offer its Youth Fishing Derby for kids ages 5-15, 9-11 a.m. May 2 at Apple Park Ponds, 1892 Packhouse Road, Fogelsville.
Kids should bring poles, bait and skills for a morning of fishing fun.
Division winners will take home a trophy.
The Luck of the Draw Pickleball Tournament will take place May 2 at the Grange Park Pickleball Courts.
No partner is needed as you will be randomly paired with another partner for six different games.
The top eight finishers make it to the playoff round and medals will be given out for first, second and third place.
Skill levels of play are: 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5. Levels 2.5 and 3.0 will play between 1:30-4 p.m.
The 3.5 level will play between 4:30-7 p.m.
Wildlands Conservancy Live Animal Program Tails and Tie-Dye will be held 5:30 p.m. May 15 at the Breinigsville Park Lower Pavilion.
Experience a live animal show up close, then unleash your creativity with a fun and messy tie-dye activity. There is a small cost to participate.
Mighty Kicks Youth Soccer will hold its spring session II Sundays May 3 through June 7 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.
Mighty Kicks is the Premier introductory soccer option for children aged 2-8 years old. This program is designed to build motor skills, life skills, self-confidence and basic soccer techniques.
All classes will be held on one of the smaller fields past the pavilion. There will be no class May 17.
Class times by age group are: 1-1:30 p.m. 2-year-olds, 1:40-2:20 p.m. 3-4-year-olds and 2:30-3:10 p.m. 5-8-year-olds.
Lil Athletics multi-sport classes for kids aged 2-6 years old will take place May 14 through June 4 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.
Times are 5-5:45 p.m. for kids ages 2-3 years old; 5:55-6:40 p.m. for kids ages 3-4 years old and 6:45-7:30 p.m. for kids ages 5-6 years old.
Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable athletic attire. Parents must remain at all classes. Kids will be introduced to multiple sports in a fun, noncompetitive, instructional program.
Lil Athletics uses fun, colorful props, and equipment to add to the upbeat environment and make each lesson exciting for all. Lil Athletics uses age-appropriate equipment in a fun and positive environment.
Leading Edge Martial Arts, 3239 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, will offer a Women’s Self-Defense Workshop 7:30-9 p.m. May 13.

Summer camp registration is open for Upper Macungie residents.
The UMT Summer Camp is an 8-week program running Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 through Aug 7.
The traditional camp is for kids ages 6-12.
The Teen Takeover camp is for youth ages 13-15.
There will be no camp June 19 and July 3.
Throughout the day campers will rotate through a schedule of activities ranging from sports, team-building, crafts, scavenger hunts, trivia, science, etc.
Campers are responsible for packing their own lunch/snacks.
The UMT Summer Camp is offered at three different locations. Select the site location that works best for you and your family.
Bused field trip registration will be an optional add on offered exclusively to those already registered in the UMT Summer Camp. Limited seats available.
There is a cost for the camps.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, (Leather Corner Post) is accepting orders until May 3 for their hoagie sale.
Options available are regular Italian with everything or no peppers, no onions with peppers, no onions or peppers, ham and cheese; no onions or peppers, turkey; no onions or peppers, roast beef; no onions or peppers, tuna and veggie.
Ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.
Hoagie pickup will take place 4-6 p.m. May 12.

The church’s “Wheels at the Grove” car show will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9.
All vehicles are welcome.
Last year they had cars, trucks and tractors.
This year they will also have a motorcycle.
All vehicles will be parked in their paved parking lot as space permits.
A small donation fee will be taken.
The event is free to visitors and there will be free parking.

They will have a trophy, the pastor prize, basket raffle, baked goods, rumble seat rides and 50/50 drawing. Their great cooks will serve breakfast, lunch and this year, free coffee.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will hold a yard sale 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 23.
There will be food available for purchase to help raise funds for Wreaths Across America. They will sell baked goods, hot dogs and drinks.
