Robert C. Herman, 84, of Wanamakers, died April 26, 2026. Known as Butch to his many friends and family, he was born in Allentown. He was the son of the late Robert L. Herman and Evelyn M. (Gangaway) Barrall. He was the husband of Barbara (DeRohn) for 61 years.

He was a 1959 graduate of William Allen High School and employed by the former Eastern Industries for 38 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing basketball for Grace UCC in the Church League of Allentown. He was a lifetime social member of Star Hose Company in Emerald, and an annual social member of Lynnport Fire Company for over 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Richard K., husband of Michele (Miller), of Reading, Tara A., wife of Michael Hitchens, of Coatesville, Troy A., husband of Jennifer (Berg), of Hamburg; grandchildren, Patrick R., Sarah A., Jarrett T., Margaret A. Hitchens, Abigail G. Hitchens; sister, Donna Barrall Flyte; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Thomas A.; parents, Robert L. Herman (Louise), Evelyn Gangaway Barrall (Harold); sister, Katherine Herman Hoffman.

A celebration of life will be held at Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, 2 p.m. May 2, with a calling hour to begin 1 p.m.
