Girls lacrosse team wins first seven games

The Parkland High School girls lacrosse team couldn’t have asked for a better start to its 2026 regular season. The Trojans won four more games last week to stay unbeaten.

Parkland defeated Moravian Academy 21-2 last Tuesday night, March 24, then beat Abington Heights 5-4 in overtime Saturday. The Trojans beat North Penn 13-8 Monday and then took care of Freedom 16-8.

In the win over the Lions, Parkland scored 12 goals in the opening quarter and then three each in the final three frames.

Sydney Sensinger, Lila Temchatin, Olivia Esteban and Seneca Benes all recorded hat tricks, with Temchatin dishing out two assists. Brynn Snyder, Madi Conti and Sammi Schippell all tallied two goals with Schippell and Conti both adding an assist. Each of Jade Caravello, Laura Volpe and Juliana Varano found the back of the net once. Audrina Stewart and Molly Miller both had a save in net.

In the victory against the Comets, the Trojans scored a goal in all four quarters and then broke the 4-4 tie in overtime on Milla Hahn’s game-winning goal.

Esteban totaled two goals, while Temchatin, Volpe and Hahn had one each. Sensinger and Temchatin each notched an assist. Stewart finished with seven saves.

Against North Penn, Parkland outscored the Knights 5-1 in the second quarter and 4-2 in the fourth. Sensinger and Caravello both finished with five goals and three assists.

Volpe found the back of the net twice and Esteban added one goal, while Temchatin had an assist. Stewart made 11 saves in net.

In the EPC opener with the Patriots, the Trojans broke a 3-3 deadlock after one quarter by scoring six of eight second quarter goals between the two teams to lead 9-5 at halftime. Parkland then outscored Freedom 7-3 in the second half.

Schippell and Esteban scored four goals apiece. Caravello recorded a hat trick and Addison Winfield and Sensinger tallied two goals and combined for three assists. Temchatin and Volpe rounded out the scoring with a goal each.

Stewart got the win with four saves.

Parkland improved to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
