EHS boys tennis wins three times in three days

The Emmaus boys tennis team won three matches in three days last week.

After suffering their first loss of the season on March 27, the Hornets bounced back with a 6-0 win over East Stroudsburg North last Monday, March 30. A day later they beat Stroudsburg 5-1 then took down Pocono Mountain East 6-0 last Wednesday.

Against Pocono Mountain East, Chris Stone, Caleb Brown and Cole Stuchko won singles matches.

Aba Diop and Adam Waddell won the No. 1 doubles match. Joe Brisgone and Sai Upperetla won the No. 3 doubles match and Jackson Iyengar and Kaleb Michaud won the No. 4 doubles match.

In the win over Stroudsburg, Stone, Brown and Stuchko took singles matches, while Brooks/Waddell and Krishna Nemani/Diop won doubles matches.

Against the Timberwolves last Wednesday, Emmaus won five matches by default with the doubles team of James Moyer and Zayan Siddiqui winning the only contested match.

The Hornets improved to 12-1 over and are 9-1 in East Penn Conference play with five matches left in the regular season, which ends with a match at unbeaten Parkland on April 13.
