Michael Kumernitsky Jr., 65, of Schnecksville, died April 19, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Kathy I. (Keeler) Kumernitsky to whom he was married 42 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Michael Kumernitsky Sr. and Maryann H. (Soldritsch) Hetten and stepfather, Joseph Hetten.

He was employed at C & S Wholesale Grocers in Bethlehem for the last 10 years. Before that, he worked at Walgreens Distribution Center for 12 years.

He was raised in the Catholic faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Ashley J. and her husband, Michael W. Puchyr, of Orefield; siblings, Kim Dreisbach (David), of Northampton, Scott (Melissa), of Bath, Joseph Hetten (Suzanne), of Catasauqua, Christopher Hetten, of Whitehall; grandson, David M. Puchyr.

A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. April 30, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with Deacon Carl Readinger officiating.
