John L. Strauss, 96, formerly of Breinigsville, died April 16, 2026, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. He was married to the late Jean E. (Leibensperger) Strauss for almost 66 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John W. and Emma (DeLong) Strauss.

He was a cabinet maker at Allen Organ Co. for 44 years. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He is survived by children, Jane L. Kale, of Allentown, Joel R. and his wife, Kathy, of Bethlehem, Jeffrey M. and his wife, Tamara Licata, of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Zachary, Sean.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Lewis; siblings, William, Jean Bastian, Dorothy Kuhns.

A service will take place 11 a.m. April 23, at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville with visitation 10-11 a.m.
