Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Civil War during an event set for 9 a.m.-7 p.m. April 25 and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 26 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

This free event includes military drills, firing demonstrations, trench battle reenactments and a military encampment.

All ages and skill levels are invited to join the line dancing fun at the VFW April 30. Beginner lessons will be 6:30-7 p.m. Dancing continues until 9:30 p.m.

Mark your calendar for Whitehall Area Rotary Club’s Paws in the Parkway, set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 9 at Whitehall Parkway. This family-friendly event includes a dog parade and costume contest, animal rescue organizations, demonstrations, vendors and refreshments.

Proceeds benefit local animal rescue groups.

Registration is open for Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt. The program runs 6-8:30 p.m. June 22-26.
