Coplay Public Library: Spring book, bake sale set for April 24, 25 at Coplay library
Coplay Public Library’s spring book and bake sale is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. April 24 and 25.
Shop for bargains on books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games. There will also be a special sale room.

Try your luck in the 50/50 raffle. Buy your tickets at the library.
The drawing will be held 4 p.m. April 25.

Note there will not be a movie April 25 due to the book sale.
The Saturday movie events will continue May 9 with “Mars Needs Moms” and then “Bolt” May 30.

The library is collecting items for Coplay Food Bank through April 30.
Donate an item in the next few days and receive a coupon for a free book at the book sale April 24 and 25. There is a limit of one coupon per patron.

Vince’s Cheesesteaks food truck will be in the Coplay Parkway, Second and Keefer streets, 2-7 p.m. April 30 for a library fundraiser.

The library will be hosting a special program for children to explore seeded paper planting 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 2.
The event will start with storytime, then kids will do some planting. We will provide the pot, soil and lavender seed paper.
Space is limited, so registration is required.

Preschool storytime and craft is planned for 10:30 a.m. May 8 and 22. Registration is not required.

We will also have a special program for adults, featuring floral pinecone art, 1-3 p.m. May 16. We will provide all the supplies.

The teen and adult coloring group will meet 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign your child up for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.
There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

Fiber Arts and Friends Circle, for teens and adults, regularly meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, work on a current project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.

If you need something to read, watch or listen to and can’t make it to the spring sale, check out our selection of fiction and nonfiction books for sale. We also have CDs, DVDs and puzzles.
Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

For your safety, drop donations off at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

If you need to use a computer to search for information or print something, we have six computers for you to use. The library also has a fax machine and copier for public use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.
If you do not have a library card, it only takes a few minutes to get one. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license. Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

The library’s hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
