The Sanctuary at Haafsville will hold a cash bingo and basket raffle 1-5 p.m. at East Greenville Fire Company, 401 Washington St., East Greenville. Doors open 11:30 a.m. The cost of a ticket includes 20 regular games, advance sales only. No physical tickets will be mailed. For reservations, email your name, phone number and number of tickets wanted to events@thesanctuarypa.org. If you want to sit with others, only make one reservation for all members of your party. All proceeds to benefit the rescue dogs and cats at The Sanctuary, 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville.

Greater Lehigh Valley Writers’ Group will hold its monthly meeting beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting is offered in a hybrid format—in-person at the Palmer Branch of the Easton Library, 1 Weller Place, Palmer, and online via Zoom. From 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., author Ray Diskin Black will present “The Intersection of Poetry and Memoir.” He will present an afternoon workshop on the intersection of poetry and memoir from 1-3 p.m. Registration is required for the afternoon program. Residents and trail users are invited to attend the Ironton Rail Trail Safety Day to be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coplay Kilns along the Ironton Rail Trail, Saylor Park, 245 N. 2nd St., Coplay. This is an event focused on promoting the safe and enjoyable use of one of the region’s most popular recreational resources. Trojan Alumni Varsity Club will be meeting 6 p.m. as a social gathering at the HOPS-Fogelsville Hotel, 7921 Main St., Fogelsville. The main speaker will be Parkland High School Head Football Coach Tim Moncman. There is a cost per person for the dinner. All are invited to attend.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, (Leather Corner Post) will be holding its “Wheels at the Grove” car show 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All vehicles are welcome. Last year they had cars, trucks and tractors. This year they will also have a motorcycle. All vehicles will be parked in their paved parking lot as space permits. There is a small registration donation fee. The event is free to visitors and there will be free parking. A printable registration form is available at “Morgenlandchurch.org.” Visit their website to see upcoming events, register for the car show or you can register the day of the event. They will have a trophy, the pastor prize, basket raffle, baked goods, rumble seat rides, and 50/50. Their great cooks will serve breakfast, lunch and this year, free coffee. K4K and FM Events, an event planner which organizes local craft fairs for artisans and small businesses to better connect with the community, will host a Spring into Summer Craft Fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shankweiler’s Drive In, 4540 Shankweiler Road, Orefield. The Sanctuary at Haafsville will be holding its third annual Fast and Furriest 5K Run and Walk 9 a.m. at Lehigh Parkway. Race day check-in begins at 8 a.m. All runners must check in before the race.
