Annie P. (Spayd) Mertz, 89, of Emmaus, died peacefully April 3, 2026, at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Russell P. Mertz. Born in Wescosville, she was the daughter of the late Luther E. and Alma P. (Fosnocht) Spayd.

She worked as a line manager for Pet Milk Frozen Foods until her retirement.

She loved to sing and dance.

She was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. Trexlertown.

She is survived by her son, David Faust; daughters, Marlena and her husband, Terry Kratzer, Linda and her husband, Thomas Engelman, Ann; sister, Marcia “Tootie” Mohr; grandchildren, Tera Kratzer, Toby Krazter, Ben Engelman, Amanda Dobil, Brianna Hearle, Christina Strauss, Nicholas Engelman, Jenna Fritz; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mae Spayd; her former spouse, Marlin Faust.
