Class of 2028 to hold cash bingo

The Salisbury High School Class of 2028 will hold a cash bingo April 19 at Salisbury Middle School. Doors will open 11:30 a.m. and games start 1 p.m. Tickets are discounted if purchased in advance for 20 games. For more information, text 610-504-0351. To purchase advance tickets, Venmo @Tricia-Dickert and add the reservation name under “whats this for?” All proceeds will benefit the Class of 2028 senior year activities.

Eastern Salisbury Fire Department will hold a fundraiser at Five Guys, 3045 Center Valley Parkway, 106, Center Valley, in the Promenade Shops 4-7 p.m. March 12. All orders placed in this time frame will result in a percentage to be donated to ESFD.

The Salisbury Police Department is holding a K-9 unit fundraiser March 25. Vince’s Cheesesteak food truck will be at Eastern Salisbury Fire Department 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and $1 from every order benefits our K-9 unit. K-9 Echo and Officer Watson will be on site to meet and talk about the unit. K-9 unit shirts and hoodies will be available for purchase.

The Steel Ice Center is proud to announce the new Steel Ice Sports Academy. This full day academy is geared to develop disciplined and resilient student athletes through academic focus, elite training and a holistic approach to growth. In partnership with St. Luke’s Sports Performance, this program will integrate performance training, long-term athlete development, movement development, reduced injury risk and sustainable growth for the athlete.

The Salisbury football program will hold a spring minicamp for high school and middle school students to build skills, confidence and get ready for fall football. This will be a seven session no-contact camp designed for both returning players and those trying football for the first time. The camp will run 8:45-11 a.m. March 7, March 14, March 21, March 28, April 4, April 25 and May 2 at the SHS turf stadium. Looking for some spring soccer for your children? The Lion Cubs spring season is open and registration is live. Practice is Tuesday nights at SMS, starting April 7. Groups are organized by age and skill and spots are limited. Register at registration.teamsnap.com/form/49527.

Speaking of spring sports, Salisbury Youth Association spring softball registration is open. Registration is available at www.syasports.net and closes March 1. Don’t delay in getting your player registered. The season will start in April with open gym sessions starting in March. Limited spaces are available for each group
