Strangulation

A 24-year-old female, of Fairfax Street, Salisbury Township, was arrested Dec. 29, 2025, and charged with alleged strangulation, simple assault and harassment during a domestic disturbance, according to Salisbury police.

Indecent assault

A 30-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with alleged indecent assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after an employee at grocery retailer Giant, 3300 Lehigh St., told authorities of “being assaulted/inappropriately touched by a customer who fled the store,” according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Dec. 18, 2025.

DUI

A 33-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was arrested Jan. 5 for allegedly driving under the influence and violation of driving at a safe speed and driving within a lane after a traffic stop along Interstate 78 near Lehigh Street, according to Salisbury police.

Retail theft

An 18-year-old male, of Salisbury Township, was charged Dec. 28, 2025, with retail theft after, while employed at retailer Ross Dress For Less, 3300 Lehigh St., allegedly conducting multiple fake return transactions for store credit then using the store credit to buy store items, according to Salisbury police.

Public drunkenness

A 69-year-old male, of Salisbury Township, was charged Dec. 20, 2025, with public drunkenness after officers were called to check on an intoxicated person in the 3200 block of West Emmaus Avenue, according to Salisbury police. The man allegedly attempted to urinate on his own vehicle in a public parking lot, according to authorities.

Harassment

A 35-year-old female, of Tamaqua, was charged Dec. 19, 2025, with harassment at White Deer Run Treatment Center, 1620 Riverside Drive, after allegedly striking another person during a dispute, according to Salisbury police.

Shots fired

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Riverside Drive Dec. 26, 2025, for shots fired, according to Salisbury police. No one was found in the area, according to authorities.

Burglary

Officers responded to the 900 block of East Rock Road for a report of a burglary Dec. 25, 2025, according to Salisbury police.

Stolen vehicles

Someone removed a 2026 Mercedes-Benz vehicle from Porsche Lehigh Valley, 3401 Lehigh St., according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Dec. 23, 2025.

A resident of East Rock Road learned his 2013 Ford Taurus was missing, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Dec. 31, 2025.

Fraud

Someone claiming to be from marketing and sweepstakes company Publisher’s Clearing House contacted a resident of Lehigh Avenue by phone, told the resident he won a large sum of money and a new vehicle and convinced the resident to buy $1,800 worth of gift cards and provide the caller the numbers in order to redeem his prizes, according to Salisbury police. The swindle was reported Dec. 18, 2025.

Crash

Officers responded to the 400 block of East Rock Road Jan. 3 after a 79-year-old motorist drove a motor vehicle down a 50-foot embankment in the woods, according to Salisbury police. The motorist was taken by ambulance to a hospital for care, according to authorities.

Road rage incident

Officers were called to grocery store Giant, 3300 Lehigh St., Dec. 24, 2025, for a disturbance in the parking lot after a road rage incident, according to Salisbury police. “Officers separated the individuals and sent them on their way,” according to a press release from authorities. No one was arrested.

Fire call

Salisbury officers and firefighters responded to the 1600 block of Riverside Drive for a fire in the woods Dec. 27, 2025, according to Salisbury police. Investigators determined a propane tank caught fire. The tank was being used by a person living in the woods, according to authorities.

Officers responded to the 2900 block of Fairfield Drive for a disturbance Dec. 18, 2025, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Sunset Avenue for a disturbance Dec. 22, 2025, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for a disturbance Dec. 26, 2025, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to the 700 block of East Wayne Avenue for a disturbance Dec, 28, 2025, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Mortimer Street for a disturbance Jan. 2, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of Hausman Avenue for a disturbance Jan. 2, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1220 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for a disturbance about a child custody issue Jan. 5, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Unwanted person

Officers responded to gas station and deli Daisy Hill Market, 1848 E. Susquehanna Street, Dec. 20, 2025, for an unwanted person, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers responded to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Dec. 21, 2025, for an unwanted person loitering in the hospital, according to Salisbury police. “The male was located and removed from the hospital’s property,” according to authorities.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Weil Street for an unwanted person Dec. 22, 2025, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Mutual aid

Salisbury Township officers were requested to assist in the 1100 block of Russell Avenue, Fountain Hill, during a welfare check Dec. 25, 2025, according to Salisbury police.

Salisbury Township officers were requested to assist at St. Luke’s University Hospital, 801 Ostrum St., for a disorderly male outside of the hospital Dec. 28, 2025, according to Salisbury police.

A Salisbury Township K-9 officer was requested to assist by Pennsylvania State Police along Route 309 in Orefield at a motor vehicle stop Jan. 5, according to Salisbury police.

Violations approved

Between Dec. 18, 2025, and Jan. 4, a total of seven school bus video violations were approved bringing the school year’s total to 162 approved violations, according to Salisbury police.
