Salisbury High School continues to bring students together through spirited fundraisers and athletic celebrations that highlight Falcon pride and involvement. With competitive tournaments and milestone victories ahead, Salisbury remains busy creating opportunities for students, families and community members to connect and support one another during what has already been a historic and winning school year.

One exciting event this January is the annual dodgeball tournament, which will take place Jan. 16 (Day 6) in the gym during Falcon Period. Teams consist of five players, one coach and one alternate player. The first five teams to register and submit payment were placed into the tournament bracket. All money was turned in to Ms. Ruiz by Jan. 12 and proceeds go directly to the newspaper journalism class to help continue hosting events and growing the program. This event will offer students a fun, energetic way to compete while supporting school activities.

Athletics are also being celebrated as the varsity boys basketball team prepares to commemorate a major milestone: the program’s 1,000th win. This historic achievement will be recognized Jan. 16, during a home boys basketball game. To show support and be part of the celebration, students and fans are encouraged to purchase a commemorative shirt, available both in advance and at home games throughout January.

Meanwhile, Salisbury field hockey is celebrating a major victory after winning the district final. To commemorate the achievement, district champion clothing is available for purchase online. The store will close 11:59 p.m. Jan. 18 and this deadline is firm, with no late orders accepted. All items will be delivered during the week of Feb. 16. Merchandise is nonrefundable and non-exchangeable unless defective. Through competitive events and the celebration of athletic milestones, SHS continues to showcase strong school spirit and community involvement. Falcons are supporting one another, celebrating success and staying connected.
