Richard D. Quier, 69, of Orefield, died Jan. 1, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Mary (Leibensperger) Quier to whom he was married 45 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edwin Charles and Helen M. (Kusmick) Quier.

He was employed at Royal Furniture in Emmaus in sales and repair for 40 years last working in 2012. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Earth Sciences Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Ariel M. and her fiancé, Matthew L. Hanna, of Allentown, Tiffany R. Sellitti and her husband, Michael, of Orefield; brother, Edward H. and his wife, Carol, of Maine; sister, Cynthia L. Laskoski and her husband, Michael of Allentown; grandchildren, Elliot and Paisley.
