Patricia M. Van Luvanee, 84, of Lehigh Township, died Jan. 2, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Jerry R. Van Luvanee Sr. for 66 years.
Born in Cherryville, she was a daughter of the late Earl J. and Viola K. (Harwick) Kates.
She and her daughter co-owned a hair salon, where she worked as a beautician.
She was a member of Faith Alive Church in Palmerton, where she regularly participated in church events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jerry R. Jr. and wife Pamela; a daughter, Patty Brosky and husband Hank; four grandchildren, Jerry and wife and family, Jason and wife Michelle and family, Lauren (Brosky) Riggleman and husband Rich and Hailie Brosky and her fiancé Daniel John; a brother, Clarence (Butch) Kates; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers, Bill, Richard, Larry, Raymond, Earl (Sonny) and Alan; and two sisters, Viola Bachert and Ann Guth.
There will be a calling time 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral services 11:30 a.m., Jan. 24 at the church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton, 18071.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or ASPCA.
