Patricia A. Derhammer, 88, formerly of Whitehall, Northampton and Bethlehem, died Dec. 31, 2025, at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Richard Derhammer for 46 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Emily (Wallander) Schanbacher.

She was a 1955 graduate of William Allen High School.

She began her career with Bell Telephone Company and as a secretary for St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fullerton until her retirement.

She taught Sunday school and volunteered in after-school programs.

She is survived by four sons, Corey and fiancée Esther of Northampton, Steven and wife Michelle of Whitehall, Matthew of Alexandria, Va., and Thomas and wife Shari of Northampton; four grandchildren, Chad and wife Christine, Lauren and husband Andrew, Marc and Cole and wife Morgyn; and five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Clara, Maya, Miles and Christian.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
