Matthew Shawn Woodside, 52, of Orefield, died Dec. 25, 2025. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Barbara (Burk) Hanlon, of Northampton and the late Robert B. Woodside.
A former member of the IBEW, Local 375, Allentown, he was a co-owner of Bob’s TV and Healthcare Solutions in Orefield.
A 1990 graduate of William Allen High School, he became a talented, skilled and hardworking electrician who took great pride in his work. When he wasn’t working, he loved to spend hours with his son riding to get cheesesteaks at the Port Clinton Hotel. He attended Bike Week in Daytona, Fla.
In his younger years when the weather was nice, he could be found playing a round of golf or playing in one of many adult volleyball leagues. At home, he deeply loved his dogs who were his constant companions.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Drew M., of Walnutport; siblings, Brian Miller (Tracey), of Allentown, Jane Gilbert (Mike), of Center Valley, Karen Teets, of Whitehall, Jennifer Castronova (Tony), of Alabama, Shelly Tyree, of Virginia, Kathy Andonian (Keith), of Georgia, Bobby, of Fla., Heather (Pat Nelson), of Whitehall; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family and friends may pay their respects 4-6 p.m. Jan. 8, 2026, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
