Karen A. Hutchison, 67, of Emmaus, died peacefully Jan. 3, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Hutchison. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine (Gogola) Olshefski.

She began her professional life working for several years as a secretary at Air Products. Following the birth of her first child, she chose to devote herself fully to her family, dedicating her life to raising her children and creating a warm, loving home.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for family and only breaking the rules for her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by her children, Erica and her husband, Alejandro Pérez Domínguez, Katrina and her husband, Joseph Tomanik III, Robert A. and his wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Sophia, Sutton, Sonsoles; brother, Daniel Olshefski and his wife, Laura; beloved dog, Odin.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Jan. 7 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
