James L. Sticher

Fellowship Community resident

James L. Sticher, 97, died Dec. 30, 2025, while a resident of Fellowship Community. He was the husband of the late Arlene Sticher for 76 years.

Growing up in Mahanoy City, he graduated high school.

While in the U.S. Army, he was sent to Japan to monitor the prisons at the end of World War II.

He worked at Western Electric for 35 years and ended his career as a supervisor.

He was a member of Seibert Evangelical Congregational Church for many years, where he played on softball and basketball teams and served as an usher.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Palmo and husband Pete; a grandson, Michael Lowry and wife Monika; two great-grandsons, Matthew and Christopher; and a stepgrandson, Peter Palmo.
