The Lady Tigers have four games completed on their season schedule and have yet to play at home.
The road warriors played two games in a tournament in Hamburg and then traveled to Northern Lehigh and Bangor this week where they picked up wins over Colonial League opponents to push their overall record to 3-1 this season.
Sophomore Natalie Conner has led Northwestern Lehigh in scoring in all four of their games and is averaging 20.8 points per game in the early going. Against the Bulldogs, Conner scored 22 points to lead the Tigers to a 58-44 win. In the first quarter, Conner scored 10 of her points as Northwestern jumped out to a 19-8 lead. Senior Hannah Gober and her freshman sister Charlotte both scored nine points in the game.
In Monday night’s win at Bangor, Conner scored 18 points in the 54-12 win. Northwestern jumped out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter and held the Bulldogs scoreless in the second quarter as they stretched their lead to 32-5 at halftime. Hannah Gober and Lillian Bernhard both scored eight points for Northwestern with Mallory Conner chipping in with six points.
Northwestern goes back on the road with a game at Catasauqua (2-0) on Friday before home games next week against Moravian Academy (0-4) and Saucon Valley (2-1). The Lady Panthers opened the season with easy wins over Moravian Academy and Bangor before falling to Southern Lehigh.
