The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Fogelsville Station is conducting the death investigation of a boy in Upper Milford Township, according to a press release dated Oct. 9.

Authorities describe the child as 2 1/2 years old.

State police provided the following details:

At approximately 4:15 p.m. Oct. 9, state troopers were called to the 5300 block of Bachman Road, Upper Milford Township, for a child who was struck by a motor vehicle, according to the press release.

Troopers attempted lifesaving measures at the scene.

The child was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, where he was pronounced deceased by the Lehigh County Coroner.

The Troop M Forensic Services Unit and the Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit assisted at the scene.
