State Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th, helps out during a paper shredding event Nov. 8 at the Whitehall Township Municipal Complex, 3219 MacArthur Road. The event was for residents of Whitehall, Coplay and Catasauqua.

Volunteer Karen DeLorenzo organizes the boxes of paper for shredding. There was an attendance of 186 individuals based on names and address collection sheets, organizers said.
