The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Stop by for a visit and learn more about the history within the community. The visit is worth a stop in the museum for a sneak peak of the Christmas decorations as well. Also of note, one can honor our veterans and service members through two new displays acknowledging 80 years since the end of World War II and 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. A tote with a few goodies will be distributed to the first 20 visitors Nov. 29 in celebration of Small Business Saturday.

Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon Dec. 4 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Park for a pot luck lunch. New members are welcome. The next meeting will be held Jan. 8, 2026. For more information, call Dot at 610-967-3284.

The Emmaus Historical Society’s annual Christmas dinner will be held Dec. 17 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus starting 5:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer or a dessert. On Dec. 20, the Emmaus Public Library will host a free clinic for stuffy and toy repairs 2-3 p.m. Dr. Stuffy will also teach anyone who is interested in the fine art of toy repair. The event will take place in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room and all materials needed for repair will be provided. Throughout December, at the museum and all the Emmaus Historical Society events, new scarves, hats, gloves and socks will be collected to be donated for the “help those in need“ holiday project in partnership with the Emmaus Police Department.

The society’s museum committee appreciates all donations of memorabilia that came from, was used, or enjoyed by those in Emaus/Emmaus. As you go through your vintage holiday decor, please remember to call the office at 610-966-6591 in order to see if what you have is what they want.
