Gingerbread house competition Dec. 10

As the holiday approaches, more activities from gingerbread house making, to Red Cross donations are being held. There is always something to be excited about and look forward to.

On Dec. 10, Habitat for Humanity is hosting a gingerbread house competition where you gather a team, be as creative as possible and have fun. You can have up to six people in your team and each team pays a fee to enter. Forms are due Dec. 5 and the payment is due by Dec. 8. Only one person from each group has to fill out the form. Supplies are provided, but if you’d like to bring your own candy for more decoration you may; no hot glue guns permitted. Payments go to Maria Russo in Room 229, cash or check, as the event will be held in the main cafe.

The Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive now through April 30, 2026 to help save lives. Their goal is to reach 100 units, and students and staff are encouraged to participate. After donating, head to Room 016 for a goody bag, make sure to bring proof. Schedule the appointment by calling 800-223-6667 and mentioning the group ID: 3345. The nearest donation location is 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 1300, Allentown.

The Bible study club meets 6:45-7:10 a.m. Wednesday mornings in Room 254 and 2:30-3:15 p.m. Thursday afternoons in Room 229. On Wednesday mornings you can enter through the counseling doors.

There will be an early dismissal Nov. 26. School will be closed Nov. 27-Dec. 1 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The winter choral concert will be held Dec. 10.

Students have some awesome chances to get involved, whether it’s teaming up with friends to be as creative as possible, donating blood to save lives or getting together with peers to study something you’re passionate about.
