EHS names student of the week

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My parents are Henry and Julie and my sister’s name is Natalie.

Q. As a senior, do you have any specific goals you will pursue this academic year?

A. I want to get all As again this year and enjoy my last year of high school.

Q. What is your favorite class at Emmaus High School? Why?

A. I really loved advanced health because I learned about what to do in emergency scenarios and how I can help people. Plus, my teacher, Mrs. Miller, was amazing. I also really enjoyed home maintenance and materials technology because I learned how to fix basic house problems, and my teacher, Mr. Smith, was very helpful and funny.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. Yes, I received the Excellence in Wellness/Fitness Award, Excellence in Precalculus Award, Excellence in Advanced Health Award and have received Principal’s Honor Roll every marking period. I also received the Most Improved Award on the Emmaus baseball team.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?

A. I am on the Emmaus baseball varsity team and involved in National Honor Society, Key Club, Pickleball Club, Hacky Sack® Club, Hornet Ambassadors, Pediatric Cancer Club and Fly Fishing Club. These groups have helped me meet lots of new people, have fun and gain valuable experience.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge is still figuring out exactly what I want to do as a career.

Q. At this time, what are your plans for the future beyond high school?

A. I’m hoping to go to Penn State University and study something in the health field.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. I would choose Leonardo da Vinci because he discovered so many things and was a very diverse person with lots of knowledge.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a driven, caring and funny person who is always willing to help others.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Enjoy every moment, have fun, don’t take life too seriously and make memories.
