Nov. 26

The Emmaus High School Symphonic Band will present a winter concert 7 p.m. at the school, 500 Macungie Ave., Emmaus.

Nov. 29

“Light up the Night,” Salisbury Township’s first Christmas tree lighting ceremony, is scheduled 5-7 p.m. at Franko Park, 1301 Black River Road. The event will include music performances, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and their reindeer and more.

Dec. 2

The borough of Macungie welcomes residents and friends to its annual tree lighting event scheduled 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Flower Park in the borough. Hosted by the Macungie Beautification Committee, the event traditionally includes refreshments and music performances.

Dec. 5

The Emmaus Public Library will host its annual holiday book sale 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. In addition to books, including holiday-themed books for children and holiday cookbooks, sale items will include gently used DVDs, CDs and puzzles. Dec. 6

The Allentown Music Club will present “Sounds of the Season” featuring sacred and secular music 2:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. This will be a combined program featuring The Young Musicians and the adult clubs. The performers are Siobhan DeRemer, soprano; Steven Molloy, tenor; Darlene Ziegler, piano; Camille Vernaar, flute and Brenda Phillips, guest piano. The program coordinator is Siobhan DeRemer. All are welcome. The program is free and open to the public. Three young musicians will also perform in the program.

Old Fashioned Christmas will be held noon to 6 p.m. in Triangle Park, 399 Main St., Emmaus. The event traditionally includes music performances, a tree lighting ceremony, opportunities to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and pet reindeer and a holiday movie screening at the Emmaus Theatre.

Dec. 13

Macungie Holiday will be held throughout the borough. Highlights include a scavenger hunt 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a craft fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and gingerbread house contest at Kalmbach Park, 200 Cotton St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
