Audrey Erb, Barb Martin and Angela Faidley install bears along Macungie’s Main Street. These bears were handmade and hand-painted by members of the committee. Borough residents were invited to “sponsor” a bear. The sponsor’s name was then added to the bear. According to the borough website, Macungie takes its name from the Lenape Indian phrase describing “the feeding place of the bears.”
