Cornelius J. Brugger - Steel Central Services manager

Cornelius “Connie” J. Brugger, 87, of Moravian Village, Bethlehem, died in his home on October 27, 2025. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John J. and Anna (Kristofik) Brugger. He was the husband of Sarah Ann (Warmkessel) Brugger for more than 63 years.

He was a Bethlehem Catholic HS graduate and of Woodbury University where he earned a degree in Business Management.

He was in the U.S. Air Force.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for more than 38 years and retired as manager of Central Services in 2000.

He was a former parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and a current parishioner of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Parish, Easton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Michael R. and wife Maureen, Robert A.

and fiancé Sharon, Thomas R. and wife Kelly and Richard J. and husband Andrew Hottle; a sister, Maryjane Seaman; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, John Brugger; and two sisters, Dolores Bauder and Annette Brugger.
